That's Our Girl!

Jayden loves to try to lick the water as it comes out of the spout. I had to get a rubber duckie spout cover to keep her from bumping her mouth.
Grammie! Here's the dress I was telling you about.

Jayden loves to go down the slide at the park. You can see the look on her face as she sits at the top of the slide.

"Okay Mom! I'm ready to go to the park!"

The Healing Powers of Babies

The last month has been pretty tough for all of us. Thank goodness for Jayden. It seems whenever I'm getting sad, she does something amazing to make me smile. Playing outside at Gramma's.
Just like her daddy.

This cement deer is an antique. It used to be at MY grandma's house in South Dakota. Some how it's lasted 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, tons of other children, a 1,300 mile move, and probably at least 50 winters outside.

Jayden loves being outside, especially in Flagstaff.

Jayden plays with her Uncle Clay out in the snow. She's funny, when she sees a camera she usually says "Cheese!"
Even Daddy comes out to pull her around the yard.

Jayden and her cousin Elliott who is exactly 11 months younger than her.
Spaghetti Yum!

Thanks for friends. My best friend through life, Annika, flew in from Maui to be my moral support after Denny passed away. Thank you Annika! I don't know what I would have done without you!

Walking and Talking

Jayden finally got the confidence to walk without having to hold on to one of us. She fell at about 12 months old and hit her head . After that, she wouldn't walk very far without holding on to one of our fingers. A couple weeks ago she decided she was done waiting on available fingers and is now walking all over the place by herself. The only problem is she wants to go faster than her little feet can go without falling. She cracks me up the way she comes up with some words. Dogs are Bows or BowWows and cat are called Mows. You can tell she sees one of them in the video.

Missing you yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Today is one of those rough days... Not sure why I'm even blogging about it. Just wanted to post some pictures of my stepdad today. Boy and I missing him like crazy today. Maybe it's because Jayden and I are both home sick and this will be the first time I won't get a call to see how our little "Nevada" is doing...

I just found this video on my computer today. I didn't even know I had it. It just gives you a little glimpse of what a great Gampa he was. Or according to Jayden today when she saw his picture Bapa.
